Recycled Water Phase 2C
Recycled Water Phase 2C
Recycled Water Use in the SCV
Recycled water is highly treated wastewater that is used for non-drinking water purposes, such as landscape irrigation. Recycled water distribution systems use separate pipelines from the domestic drinking water system and are denoted by purple pipes, systems and signage.
Unlike groundwater (which can be depleted) and State Water Project water (which can be subject to drought), recycled water is a renewable and drought-proof water supply that will be available as long as we generate wastewater.
SCV Water continues to invest in and support the use of recycled water in the Valley, by constructing “purple pipe” infrastructure where it is feasible.
Project: Recycled Water Phase 2C
SCV Water is constructing extensions of existing recycled water distribution pipeline via the Phase 2C project, also known as the South End Recycled Water Main Extension Project.
Project Highlights
- Installation of approximately 13,000 linear feet of recycled waterline.
- Pipeline will be installed on Trevino Drive; Player Drive; Golfview Drive; Tournament Road; Rockwell Canyon Road; Valencia Boulevard; Tourney Road; and tie-in to existing recycled water pipeline at the intersection of Valencia Boulevard and The Old Road.
- The project includes excavation, installation, backfill of piping; irrigation service line connections; appurtenances and pavement restoration.
